Skimmers: surface collection openings
A skimmer system collects surface water through dedicated openings in the pool wall, with the waterline generally below the coping. It accommodates different edge and finish treatments. The placement of collection and return points remains part of the complete circulation design.
Overflow: water at the edge
Water flows into an edge channel and through the balancing and circulation arrangement designed for the pool. This creates a distinct waterline treatment and requires coordinated levels, channels and equipment space. These requirements belong in the early site planning.
Infinity: a visual edge
A vanishing edge connects the water surface visually with its surroundings from a chosen viewpoint. The relationship to the view and site levels matters, alongside water collection and return details. The setting should guide the choice of this feature.
